Profile

I was born in Gifu, Japan, and began studying koto from an early age. I learned with the late master

Katsuyo Naito of the Todo music school, as well as under the Grandmaster Motoko Watadani of the

Okayama Seigensya School.

In 2008, I obtained my master’s license (Shihan) and teaching license for the koto and shamisen from the

Seignsha group of Ikuta Koto School.

I have lived in Berlin since 2013.
